This was originally going to be a planned first album , but after a while I felt like this wasn't turning into what I had originally envisioned. So this is more of a failed attempt.

That's not to say that I think this is a bad album, it just didn't end up going where I was hoping for. However some of my strongest and best work is on here and recording this was fun. I was also very anxious to get this music out there. This is a look at my heavier and darker side.

This album was going to be a way of getting it all my emotions out of my system and it really did help.

I named the project after the fairytale of the same name, and many of the songs on here are named after giants that Jack fought.

The final track Galigantus was written as a tribute to Lou Reed who had passed away around that time.
